Police are trying to find the man who mugged a newly elected MP in broad daylight in Auckland yesterday.

Labour list MP Priyanca Radhakrishnan was robbed of her bag in Ponsonby Rd at about 4pm.
She said a man jumped out of a car after watching her for a while, then snatched her handbag and drove off.
He was last seen heading towards College Hill.
The Maungakiekie-based MP said was now without a phone, which was taken in the robbery.
