Police are still looking for a diver who disappeared off a Wellington west coast beach last night.

The 24-year-old man from New Plymouth, who was diving alone off Makara, was reported missing at 7.15pm, last night.
Inspector Neil Banks said maritime police had found a blue spear gun, a yellow diver's float bag and a catch bag, all thought to belong to the diver.
His car was found at Makara beach yesterday.
Mr Banks has asked anyone who saw the man yesterday, who has been described as tall and athletic, with medium-length blonde hair, to get in touch.
