The State Services Commissioner is to release the quarterly expenditure details of the chief executives of all Government departments.
Prime Minister John Key says he supported a decision by State Services Commissioner Iain Rennie to make the information publicly available.
He says it is in line with the greater transparency expected from cabinet ministers and MPs.
The State Services Commission says it will release the expenditure details in the next few weeks.
