Residential properties in Christchurch could be the next target of a controversial list of buildings the city council believes are hindering the city's rebuild.

The council this year released its list, known as the dirty thirty, of inner-city properties it considers derelict and undermining confidence in the city's rebuild.
However, some owners of buildings felt they were being bullied.
Buildings on the original list included Trinity Church, the ChristChurch cathedral, and the former RID building.
The list has been cut back, but a council report reveals residential properties could be the next target.
The report said some investors were being put off new developments due to unkempt properties nearby.
The issue will be discussed at a council committee meeting on Wednesday.
