A man has been killed after being hit by a train in Upper Hutt.
Police said they were called to the scene near the Heretaunga Railway station about 4.10pm.
Metlink said buses would replace trains between the Taita and Upper Hutt stations.
The 4.20pm Wairarapa service was also delayed.
