State Highway 1 north of Kaikōura has reopened after it was closed due to a truck crash earlier this afternoon.
The New Zealand Transport Agency tweeted that the truck had been moved and the road was now fully open in both directions.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the truck driver was uninjured.

SH1 through Kaikōura closed at 8.30pm and is due to reopen at 7am tomorrow. It reopened last month, about a year after it was devastated in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in November 2016, but is still only open during daylight hours.
