The singer Neil Diamond has cancelled his tour of Australia and New Zealand, after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The 76-year-old performer, whose catalogue features songs like Sweet Caroline and Cherry Cherry was due to play in Napier and Christchurch in March.
Today, he announced he would retire from touring, as the onset of the disease had made it hard to travel and perform.
Mr Diamond said he would continue to write and record music.
Those who have tickets for the shows will be refunded.
