A man has been charged with murder after a 78-year-old man was shot in South Taranaki yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to an address in Normanby at around 7pm, police said. The 78-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound but died at the scene.
A 68-year-old man is due to appear in the New Plymouth District Court today.
