Two people have died following a crash on State Highway 3 south of Otorohanga.
The crash happened shortly before 10am.
SH3 at the intersection with Golf Road is closed and police said it was likely to remain shut for some time.
Diversions are in place,
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
