The woman's lawyer, Graeme Little, told the High Court in Auckland there was a systemic failure by the Air Force to act, despite knowing of complaints relating to Robert Richard Roper.

Mr Little said his client eventually resigned from the Air Force.

Roper was jailed for 13 years in 2015 for sexual offending against five girls in the 1970s and 1980s.
