Unions have come to an agreement with Auckland's train operators after a week of strike action over a plan to make trains driver-only.

Transdev and Auckland Transport were looking to make a change so train drivers control the doors, while train officers are employed to go on and off trains to manage problems.
Rail and Maritime Transport Union (RMTU) argued that would make it unsafe for passengers. They went on strike last week over the issue, affecting some peak-time commuters.
However, in a joint press release, Transdev and RMTU said both parties had reached agreement on the collective employment agreement, subject to union member ratification.
"Transdev and RMTU have agreed to work constructively and cooperatively to resolve any outstanding issues, including in respect to driver door operation," the statement said.
John Kerr, the union's organiser said he could not be happier.
"We're pleased that both Transdev and AT have agreed to answer into a protest where everybody looks at that afresh and with an open mind, and we work together constructively and cooperatively towards solutions that are going to be in the interests of the travelling public."
The details of the agreement have not yet been released publicly, but Mr Kerr said it would be once its members approved of it.
Auckland Transport said the trains should be running normally at peak times by tomorrow.
