Man accused of murdering Dunedin teenager pleads not guilty

The man accused of murdering Dunedin teenager Amber-Rose Rush has pleaded not guilty.

The man - who has interim suppression of his name, occupation and any other identifying details - pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and four counts of threatening to kill when he appeared in the Dunedin High Court this morning.

The man also faces another charge, the details of which have been suppressed.

Sixteen-year-old Amber-Rose was killed in her Corstorphine home in early February and her body was discovered by her mother the next morning.

Her accused murderer has been remanded in custody until later this month.
