Two bodies have been found at a boarding house in the central Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn.
Police said they were called to Dryden Lodge just after 3pm yesterday.
They said they found the two bodies when they arrived, and were working to establish what happened.
They were not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths at this stage, they said.
"We are aware of the speculation at this time as to the identities of the deceased, however as formal identification has not yet taken place, we are not in a position to comment any further on this," they said.
The property has been cordoned off while a scene examination takes place.
