Parade to honour the All Whites

11:12 am on 21 July 2010

The All Whites will be celebrated in Wellington on Wednesday with a parade from Parliament to Civic Square.

Fans have a chance pay tribute to the side that was the only unbeaten team at the World Cup in South Africa.

Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast says the parade will include most of the All Whites and members of the Boca Juniors team from Argentina, who will play the Wellington Pheonix on Friday night.

All Whites skipper Ryan Nelsen will not be in the parade as he returned to his English base after the World Cup.

The parade starts at 12.30pm at Parliament. It will be sent on its way by Prime Minister John Key, the patron of the All Whites World Cup campaign.
