A man disguised in a wig and glasses has robbed a Hamilton bank after threatening a teller and bank customers.
Police said the man walked into the ASB branch at the Base shopping centre at 12.25pm and handed the teller a note saying he had a pistol and demanding cash.
He threatened the teller and bank customers before taking a sum of cash and fleeing in a blue Chevrolet Blazer 4WD.
The man carried out the robbery wearing a black wig and black-rimmed glasses, police said.
He is described as Pākehā with an athletic build.
Anyone with information on the man, or the car used in the robbery was asked to contact police.
