Police investigate carpark puppy sale lead

8:38 pm on 23 July 2010

A report of a woman selling puppies in a Palmerston North carpark is the latest lead for police investigating the fatal shooting of Feilding farmer Scott Guy.

They have been told that at 3pm on Wednesday a woman was trying to give away chocolate Labrador puppies in the carpark of The Warehouse on Pioneer Highway.

Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger, who is heading the inquiry, says the woman drove up in a dark-coloured station wagon and offered passers-by a puppy for free.

Two other puppies were in the car.

Three chocolate-brown puppies were found to be missing on the day Mr Guy was killed at his property on 8 July.
