Police have launched an investigation into the aggravated robbery of a Hamilton liquor store.

A hooded man entered Smugglers Liquor on Hyde Avenue just after nine o'clock last night.
The police say he threatened staff with a small black pistol.
The man then stole cash and cigarettes before running out of the store toward Rodney Street.
No one was injured during the robbery.
