Two people were seriously injured in a car crash near Matamata late last night.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Morgan Rd, west of Matamata about 10.30 last night.
Two passengers were injured and the rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle.
The pair were taken to Waikato Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver escaped unharmed from the crash.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
