An extensive aerial search has been unable to find a fisherman who went missing from Karikari peninsula last Thursday.

The Auckland man has been missing since last Thursday when he failed to return to a campsite at Maitai Bay.
His inflatable boat was found on Saturday by another boatie and reported to the police.
An Airforce Orion searched the area, and another helicopter flew over 130km of shoreline yesterday, but there was no sign of the man.
Maritime New Zealand says they are not looking for him this morning.
The Rescue Coordination Centre will discuss whether the search should resume.
