Police in Napier are investigating a stabbing in the suburb of Maraenui, which left a woman seriously injured.
The woman, in her mid-20s, was found by a passerby at the property on Kelvin Road about 2pm yesterday.
She had undergone surgery, police said.
Police were still doing a scene investigation, and were appealing to anyone with information to contact the Hawke's Bay police, or phone Crimestoppers.
