Late last year, the Defence Force announced it had discovered that chemicals used in firefighting foam had leached into soil and water near bases in Ōhakea in the North Island, and Woodbourne in Marlborough.

Last month, a second round of tests for firefighting foam contamination in Marlborough found only one sample exceeded the guidelines for drinking water.

The Marlborough District Council's operations and maintenance engineer now says further tests show none of the toxic foam contamination in Blenheim's town water supply bores.

All nine supply bores were tested, and all came back clear, Stephen Rooney said.

He said monitoring would continue for the next year.
