A 27-year-old man has been charged after a bomb scare that led to the cancellation of a school ball at Te Papa last Friday.
Police said an item of concern was found in a loading dock and reported around 6pm on 8 June.
Preparations were underway for the Wellington Girls' College school ball, which had to be called off.
The man has appeared in the Wellington District court charged with wilful damage, and burglary and he will reappear at a later date.
