A 23-year-old New Zealand woman has died in Canada after jumping from a bridge in Sicamous, a small town in the province of British Columbia.
A Ministry Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesperson said the New Zealand High Commission in Ottawa was in contact with local authorities.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the 23-year-old woman was one of four people to jump off the bridge, understood to be a popular spot to cool off in summer.
The bridge is about 20m above the water.
Canadian police said initial investigations suggest the death is not suspicious.
