One person has died in a house fire in Bay of Plenty.

Emergency services were called a house on Richard Street in Ōpōtiki at 10.10pm yesterday.
Fire and Emergency shift manager Scott Osmond said crews arrived at the blaze to reports of someone inside the home.
Mr Osmond said when crews got the fire under control, they found a body.
He said the house is severely damaged.
A fire investigator and crew are still on site.
