Three overseas tourists have been attacked in an alleyway in Nelson.

The police are appealing for witnesses to the aggravated robbery early this morning.
The three men were attacked by up to six people in an alleyway near Montgomery carpark at about 2am.
Personal items were taken, and one tourist had his nose broken and jaw fractured.
Nelson mayor Rachel Reese condemned an attack and urged anyone with information to come forward.
A police investigation is underway.
