A man has sustained critical injuries after being struck by a train in Christchurch.
Police and emergency services attended the scene at Colombo Street where a man believed to be in his early 40s was struck by a train.
It is believed the incident happened at about 10.10am.
The man was taken to Christchurch hospital.
Police inquiries are ongoing.
