Power is back for all but three properties in Central Otago and Queenstown after wild weather on Wednesday night.

About 4500 customers had power cuts as strong winds, rain and, in some places, hail brought down trees and closed roads.
An Aurora Energy spokesperson said power had been restored to all but three properties in the small township of Ettrick, near Roxburgh.
Repairs were expected to be completed by this evening and power restored.
