Denver Chance was last seen driving away from his home in Mairangi Bay on the North Shore in his red 2008 Nissan Skyline about 3.30pm on the afternoon of Sunday 24 February.

Police said he told his friends at the house he was popping out and would be back soon, but failed to return.

His car was last seen at 4.17pm on the Southern Motorway near Drury.

Mr Chance, who was wearing shorts and a singlet, is described as being of solid build with dark brown hair and a tattoo on his shoulder and down his left arm.

Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie said Mr Chance had not contacted his family within the past week.

Mr Chance has not made any calls on his phone or used his bank cards since last Sunday.

"From what we know of Denver Chance, it's very out of character for him not to be in touch with his family and close friends.

His family have described him as a very loved and well-liked man, who's always happy, really into health and fitness and is an entrepreneur with quite a few business ventures on the go.

"His family are extremely upset and concerned about him, as anyone would be if they hadn't heard from their loved one or knew where they were for such a time, especially when they are usually in contact."

Ms Goldie said police were keeping an open mind about why that was, and where he could be.

"We are hoping his disappearance can be explained, and we want to find him safe and well. But we acknowledge, that the more time goes on, the more likely it is that something may have happened to him," she said.
