A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder after a death near Huntly more than a week ago.

The arrest was made murder in relation to an incident in Pukemiro on Friday, 1 March when emergency services responded to reports of a man injured in a fight at a property.
However, the man died shortly after they arrived at the scene.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson said the 25-year-old man was also faces a charge of assault with a weapon.
He is to appear at Hamilton District Court tomorrow.
No one else is sought in relation to the matter, police said.
