A person has died after a workplace accident at a Bay of Plenty sawmill.
Police were called to the Pukepine Sawmill on Jellicoe Street in Te Puke at about 3pm yesterday.
St John said one person was taken to Tauranga Hospital in a critical condition.
WorkSafe said it has been told a person has died, and an investigation is underway.
