A concrete truck has crashed down a bank in east Auckland.

The crash happened on Whitford Road, near the Mangemangeroa Gorge Bridge, about 1pm this afternoon, police said.
The truck driver has been taken to Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries.
Part of the road could remain closed for several hours.
