Police have charged a man with murder after a woman found dead at a house in the Wellington suburb of Karori today.

Police said a 52-year-old woman was found dead at a house in Lemnos Avenue in the upmarket suburb.
They were called to the house at 1.10pm, and the street was cordoned off while emergency services worked at the scene.
A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the death, and is due to appear in the Wellington District Court tomorrow.
Police said it was likely more charges would be laid, but they were not seeking anyone else in connection to the death.
