A former skinhead's plan for a Europeans-only enclave in the North Canterbury has attracted criticism.
In a leaked email to supporters, former National Front leader Kyle Chapman says the base would be built for like-minded Europeans.
Mr Chapman, who also ran for mayor of Christchurch, says in the email there would also be a school to keep children away from what he labels "multi cultural brainwashing."
Also proposed are survivalist training and an area for sport fighting.
However, Waimakariri Labour MP Clayton Cosgrove says the plan is alarming, given Mr Chapman's history of creating race division.
Mr Cosgrove says no one in his electorate wants a whites-only compound. He says his sentiments are shared by Rangiora-based National MP Kate Wilkinson and Hurunui District Mayor Garry Jackson.
