The boy who was injured when he was hit by a car in South Auckland yesterday is in a critical but stable condition in Starship Hospital.

The boy was hit by a car on the road outside a house in Ōtara at about 3pm, police said.
He was taken to Starship Hospital.
Police are investigating what happened, but no charges have yet been laid.
