Four arrested after investigation into abduction of woman in Wellington

Four people have been arrested following a two-month-long investigation into the abduction of a woman in central Wellington.

The incident occurred in the central business district in the early hours of 13 March.

Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee said two searches were carried out - in central Wellington and the eastern suburbs.

Four people have been arrested and a number of vehicles seized.

Two men, aged 27 and 30, have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and kidnapping.

Two women, aged 26 and 35, have been charged with kidnapping.

All four are due to appear in Wellington District Court this afternoon.
