Tens of thousands of Aucklanders flocked to Albert Park on Saturday night for the second night of the Chinese lantern festival.
More than 150,000 people in total are expected during the three-night festival, which marks Chinese New Year and the start of the Year of the Ox.
Festival organiser Jennifer King says the Nine Lion Puppet Theatre shipped over from China proved to be a crowd-pleaser on Friday night.
