Police believe a Whangaparaoa woman who has been missing for five weeks may now be in Northland.
They say fears are mounting for the safety of Alanah Brough, 39, who is thought to have mental health or drug problems.
Ms Brough was last seen leaving her house on foot on Friday, 30 January.
Police say she took her two sons to Matauri Bay in January, where her behaviour was seen as odd. There has been a possible sighting of her at Ruakaka, south of Whangarei.
