Police in south Auckland have arrested nine people and charged them with methamphetamine-related offences, after a series of properties were targeted in a two month long drug operation.

The six houses and a storage shed were in the Pukekohe/Franklin area.

Police seized ready-to-sell methamphetamine, also known as P, with a street value of about $75,000.

A firearm, three vehicles and laptops and $100,000 cash were also seized.

Detective Inspector John Tims from Counties Manukau Police says four of those arrested are women, and all are either members or associates of Black Power.

It's not yet known where the drugs came from.
