Police in Canterbury are looking for a man they say is dangerous and may be armed.
William Alexander Stewart, 47, his described as a thin, caucasian male with long straggly hair.
Senior Sergeant Stuart Munro says there are five outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Police believe he is in the Lincoln area and advising the public to call them immediately if they see him.
They have been looking for Mr Stewart in the Central Canterbury area for the past two weeks.
