Police have arrested a man for the robbery of a bank in Manukau City centre.
The hold-up happened at a branch of the National Bank on Friday.
A customer and a bank employee were threatened with what was described as a gun.
The image of the robber was captured on security footage and widely publicised. He was not disguised.
As the result of help from the public, police say a man, 21, from Wiri, was arrested on Wednesday night.
A man is due to appear in the Manukau District Court on Thursday on a charge of robbery.
