Police in Christchurch are still searching for a man who has been at large for more than two weeks.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Rae says William Stewart, 47, was spotted in the Governor's Bay area early on Friday.
He was riding a motorbike and took off when he saw a police road block.
The armed offenders squad and a police helicopter have been searching nearby bush but have not been able to find him.
Police believe Mr Stewart is armed and may be dangerous.
