A Palmerston North man, 51, is in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed.
The incident occurred in Dannevirke on Saturday night when a man, 50, forced his way into the home of his estranged wife, 51.
She was attacked. Three other people were also injured.
The accused will face a charge of assault in the Palmerston North District Court on Monday.
Police say it's likely further charges will follow.
