A man with Alzheimer's disease is missing in bush on the Coromandel Peninsula.
David Norris, 69, was part of a tramping group walking to Kauri Grove on Thursday morning.
Police say the group was having lunch when it was noticed that Mr Norris had not been seen for about 20 minutes. A search began that afternoon.
Mr Norris is an inexperienced tramper.
