The fatal shooting of a Marlborough farmer was a tragic accident, according to police.
Piers Throssell, 52, was found on his four wheel motorbike on Sunday night with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The farmer from Clarence Valley had earlier gone out on his own to shoot rabbits.
Police says they are still completing inquiries but it is expected they will be preparing a report for a coroner's inquest.
