Half school board resigns: parents want answers

Parents of students at an expensive Auckland private school say they want to know why half the board of governors has walked out.

A special parents' forum, set up in the wake of the resignations, believes a cover-up of a critical parent survey led to the split.

One member of the group, Paul Buckland, says parents pay more than $12,000 a year for each child and they want to be sure the money is well spent.

"We've formed a group because it's our only avenue to try and get some of our questions answered," he says.

Mr Buckland is urging parents to attend a meeting at the school next week.
