A post mortem has confirmed a 53-year-old Auckland woman died from a stab wound to the chest.
A 24-year-old woman charged with assaulting the dead woman in the suburb of Remuera will reappear in the Auckland District Court on Monday.
Police have said it was a domestic incident.
