Hamilton police say they have found a three-year-old child in a house from where illegal drugs were being sold.
Residents in the suburb of Hillcrest alerted police after noticing a man lingering outside the address, just after midnight on Monday. Officers arrested the man for alleged possession of drugs.
On searching the house, police say they were alarmed to find a three-year-old child in the lounge as well as quantities of pre-packaged methamphetamine and cannabis for sale.
A man and woman have been arrested and charged with possessing methamphetamine and cannabis for supply.
The child has been referred to Child Youth and Family.
