Police investigating the death of a motorcyclist who hit a police car in North Waikato earlier this month are appealing for more witnesses to come forward.
Paul Brown, 38, died at the scene east of Te Kauwhata, after hitting a patrol car which was making a U-turn to chase a speeding car.
Police say they have spoken to people who had seen the vehicles involved in the crash prior to the incident but not those present at the time.
Detective Inspector Lance Burdett says in a cellphone photo taken shortly after the crash, the front of a red or maroon vehicle can be seen.
He says police would like to talk to the occupants and the person who took the photo.
