A woman at the centre of one of the biggest drug seizures in Wellington has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, and other drugs.

Susan Horrobin, 54, was arrested at the airport on 31 August after arriving on a flight from Auckland.

Police searched her and seized hundreds of grams of methamphetamine ('P'), as well as ecstasy and LSD tablets.

They said they had been aware of Horrobin's activity in the drug scene for some time, and targetted her.

Horrobin has pleaded guilty in the Wellington District Court and will be sentenced next month. She faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
