5:36 am on 6 February 2011

New Zealand came from behind to beat England 29-14 and claim their first Wellington Rugby Sevens title in three years.

The match did not start well for the home side when captain DJ Forbes limped off in the opening minutes.

England also grabbed the opening try before New Zealand hit back through Toby Arnold and Declan O'Donnell to lead 12-7 at half time.

In the second half, Tomasi Cama stretched the lead to 19-7 shortly before O'Donnell sealed the title with his second and third tries late in the second half.

The win also sees New Zealand join England at the top of the World Series leader board.

The New Zealanders beat Australia 17-0 in their semi-final.
